Krishna Villar
Krishna Villar, a Florida native with Mexican heritage, developed a strong bond with nature from an early age. The diverse ecosystems of her home state, particularly its natural springs, fostered her deep environmental appreciation.
In 2024, she completed her Master’s in Landscape Architecture at Florida International University. Her capstone project, “AquaCool Canals: Mitigating Heat Islands Through Innovative Landscapes,” earned a Regional ASLA Award that year.
Passionate about design and sustainability, she focused her studies on native plant design, freshwater habitat restoration, and sustainable practices. Her prior experience at an arboricultural consulting firm provided hands-on skills in tree maintenance and arborist reporting.
